We are the first in the market to offer the device free to you when you sign up for service.
We offer coverage in the continental U.S. as well as service in Canada and Mexico on a roaming charge basis. Anywhere GSM cellular network coverage is available. Other charges may apply.
The SMS signal is much stronger than a voice signal, therefore, it reaches further. In an event the device loses service the device will automatically check in when it comes back into range after service was lost.
Our customer service center is available 24/7.
If you renew for another 36 months, we will upgrade you to the newest device for free. You will still be responsible to pay for the installation cost.
At the end of your contract, you have the option of renewing for 12, 24, or 36 months.
At the end of my contract, is my account automatically renewed or do I receive a notification in the mail or on my website reminding me to renew my account?
A letter and email will be sent out 45 days before the end of the contract to notify you that a renewal is required.
Important: If no response is given, the service will shut off on the last day of the contract. If you wish to renew after the service is terminated, you will have to pay a fee of $49.99 to reinstate service.
General Billing Questions
The activation fee is paid by credit card at the time of activation.
At the time of activation, you will be assigned a bill cycle date. Payment is due immediately on that date. We recommend you enable automatic billing.
Yes, for your convenience, automatic billing is available and encouraged
If your payment is not made when your next bill cycles, you will be assessed a $5 late fee. If it is not paid after 5 days, your service will be interrupted. There is a $25 reconnect fee to have your service reinstated.
It takes approximately 3 hours for your service to be reactivated.
No, all of your information will remain the same, but will remain inactive until the payment is made. Your data will not be lost in the meantime.
SOS-1000 Tracker
The SOS GPS tracker is covertly installed in your vehicle that gives you peace of mind knowing where your assets or loved ones are. This device will allow you to interact with your car by:
- Geo-fencing
A Geo-fence is a virtual boundary on a geographic area. When that boundary is entered or exited it can be recognized and the user can be notified of that event. The notification will tell the user which vehicle has entered/left the area and where it is at that point and time. This event information can be sent to the customer based on their personal notification settings. - Speed Notification
This allows the customer to be notified if the preset speed limit on their vehicle. If the speed limit set is exceeded they will receive notification of where the car is, how fast it is moving, and in what direction. - Locate your vehicle
This feature allows customer to locate their vehicle through web based access in real time using GPS technology. - Unlock
In the event they lock their keys in the car. Additionally through web based access the customer has the ability to unlock their vehicle. - Starter disable
In an event the vehicle is not where it is supposed be or are stolen the customer may disable the vehicle’s starter from the web. If the vehicle is in motion and the starter is disabled the vehicle will continue to function even if the command has been sent. The disable will be effective once the engine has been turned off. - Low Battery notification
The SOS tracking device will notify you when your battery reaches 10.8 Volts. - Uses GPS and cell phone network technology

BUYER BEWARE: Some of our competitors sell GPS Tracking devices that will plug into your vehicle's diagnostic port. These devices experience more than a 25% return rate due to their packing technology and materials used within them. Besides being vulnerable to humidity, over time, the connection to these devices will become weak and will result in intermittent connection and thus data loss or loss of functionality completely.

No, your car can be on or off for the device to work.
Yes, it is always on.
When you access your web page on our site, it will indicate whether the device is working or disabled.
In an event that your vehicle is stolen, call local law enforcement, file a report and use your GTW GPS Tracker web page to locate and alert authorities of the location for your vehicle. You can also give Law Enforcement the web page and your login information so they may track your vehicle directly.
Recovery time will depend on the law enforcement agency that is handling the theft case and the location of the vehicle. All reporting will be in real time. This information given to Law Enforcement will be accurate within feet of your vehicle.
Yes, you can set up border notification so if your vehicle crosses state or county borders you will be notified based on your personal notification settings.
You must contact your local law enforcement agency and file a report and work with them. They will contact the law enforcement agency for that country and coordinate the case with them. This is subject to service availability and roaming charges will apply.
You will know when the power line is disconnected and the device will send an alert message. A low battery alert should be broadcast within a few seconds.
It depends on the density of the garage or structure. Typically you can expect signal attenuation in such a facility, a tunnel, or during severe weather. In most cases, signal is still strong enough for the device to communicate.
Not unless they are aware of the device in the vehicle. The device is covertly installed in your vehicle, the device emits no audible noise and is typically hidden inside the dashboard or another similarly inaccessible location completely out of view.
By allowing you to set up borders of travel, you can be fully confident in knowing where your loved ones are.
If the vehicle travels outside of the border you will be immediately notified. These “virtual” boundaries can be as large as 30 miles and have no limit to their minimum size (in most cases). You are not limited to the number of geo fences established in your account.
What is the average response time to receive notification in the event that a speed restriction has been surpassed or the vehicle has traveled outside the Geo-Fence?
Within minutes depending on the notification preferences you have set up. Typical response time is 2 minutes.
Would I have to renew my contract for a certain period of time?
You may add on other features later free of charge but if additional installation is required, you will incur the cost of installation.
We do not require you to renew/extend your contract to add on more features.
Does the burden of replacement become my expense after the 3rd year?
No, the replacement agreement remains as the 3rd year in your first contract.
If the device stops working, contact our customer service center. Customer service will troubleshoot the device for you and take the necessary steps to make sure the device is working or have it replaced.
- 1st year, we pay 100% of the replacement charge.
- 2nd year, we pay 50% of the replacement charge.
- 3rd year, we pay 25% of the replacement charge.
Most insurance companies offer a discount for these types of devices. Call your provider for the savings available for you.
Yes, there is a roaming charge for each locate made while the vehicle is outside the U.S.
Service is subject to local GSM coverage.
Installation and Fitment
Yes, you can have the unit installed on currently owned vehicles as well as any new vehicles.
There is no limit to the number of devices on one account.
Anyone with trained knowledge of a vehicles wiring and electrical system is capable of installing this device.
Such locations would be your local car dealership, any mobile stereo / alarm installer, or Best Buy locations throughout the nation.
Depending on the features you choose to activate at time of install, the cost should be no more than the installation of an aftermarket alarm system. Please contact your local automotive installer for pricing.
The unit is covertly hidden in your vehicle and there will not be any lights or stickers on the car to alert that it has been installed. With proper installation, the unit should resemble a factory control module.
No, the SOS-1000 has been approved by the U.S. Automakers Association to not void any warranty. Professional installation is recommended.
The unit does not affect any other components in your vehicle. This device is designed to be installed alongside your existing/factory anti-theft and/or alarm system and aftermarket alarms and remote-start devices. Professional installation is recommended.
You can disconnect the device from the wiring harness if the device is accessible, or have the device installed with an on/off switch (not included).
You can also change your password on the web page so no one has the ability to track your car.
Yes, you will have to pay your dealership/local installer to remove and reinstall the device in the new vehicle.
A new wiring harness may be required which can be purchased through our website.
